Barone was in the fourth season of Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. In the early 1990s she was a regular member in the show Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone was also her wife, Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friendsin the show's initial episode. Jane Sibbett was her replacement after Barone left Friends in pursuit of a new role which required longer time. Barone was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show for the first season (1995-1996) and in The War at Home from 2005 through 2007. Then, in 2000 Barone played a part in the sitcom Daddio. Her television credits include Desperate Women, Curb Your Exuberance Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline and the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. In 2004 Barone was the recipient of the 2005 Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the feature film One Last Ride. Barone's recurring role on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up began in 2010, just three years after The War at Home finished the show's run.
